Chemistry Before Anatomy

Last week, Big Sean released his fourth album I Decided, reminding us he is one of the hottest emcee in the game. But this article is not about the young Detroit rapper's new album, even thought once again, In the line of his previous album, Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, from his real name, deliver us a quality album with several bangers as Bounce Back, Moves, or No Favors (with the legend of Detroit Eminem).

But one song from the album caught my attention. In Halfway Off The Balcony, Sean says :

"I realized when it comes to girls That chemistry means way more than anatomy"

Wise words from a guy who's more known for his love stories than his music (Which is a shame for him!). But here's my point, in today world, too many couples are built on appearances. With emergence of social networks, it's like people want to be in a relationship not to be loved by someone but to show off on Instagram or Facebook. I don't want to seem mean, but it's also the case with babies. When did a baby become a A fashion accessory? You obviously already seen a picture of a cute mixed baby on any social medias, shared by one of your friends who has instantly got the baby fever. And this is the main problem, in order to have a beautiful mixed baby, girls, and I don't want to sound macho, will focus on finding a partner from a different race even if they're not on the same page. I can hear you, young feminists, insulting me behind your screen, but most of us, men, don't have this baby fever (One day, I hope I'll have children thought!). But a family can't be built on what your partner look or what your children could look! And that's why most of the couples nowadays don't work. People don't want to be single no more. Single for almost 2 years now, I saw the birth and the end of too many love stories. And it's because, people start a love story to not be alone between a bunch of friends already into a relationship.

But guys, trust me, like a lot of people, I though I will be married before my 25 and be a father before my 30 (let's all laugh together...) but, sometimes the research of "the one", and I mean your soul sister, your "ride and die" partner, could take a while. Some people, the luckiest will find love earlier than others, like me, who are waiting again and again.

Sometimes, living single is a blessing in disguise. You have to work on yourself before finding this one person who will make you think it was worth the wait. I was single for 6 months when I decided to go on an adventure far away from my paradise. At the moment where I'm writing theses lines, it's been almost 2 years. It's not easy, but it was worth it. Travel, meet new people, try new things and focus on yourself, and I guarantee you that, without forcing anything, love will be at the corner because sometimes, it's just a question of timing.
